Park opened April 1992.
The ballpark complex is minutes from the
city’s inner harbor and two blocks from the birthplace of Babe Ruth.
Built on the site of a one time railroad
center the ballpark includes the Baltimore and Ohio Warehouse, the
longest building on the east coast, at 1016 feet long.
Cal Ripken broke the consecutive game
streak when he played in his 2,131 straight game on 9-6-1995.
