Park opened April 2000.  Comerica Park is located in an urban village that includes shops, restaurants and large office buildings in downtown Detroit.  There is no upper deck outfield section and this makes for a spectacular view of the large buildings near the ballpark.  Justin Verlander pitched the ballpark’s first no-hitter on 6-12-2007 against the National League Milwaukee Brewers.
