DODGER STADIUM

DODGER STADIUM HISTORY

DODGER STADIUM  (capacity 56,000), Los Angeles, California

Park opened April 1962.  With downtown Los Angeles to the south, green tree-lined Elysian hills to the north and east and the San Gabriel Mountains beyond Chavez Ravine is a beautiful setting for a ballpark.  In the first four years the ballpark was also home to the American League Los Angeles Angels.  Angles pitcher Bo Belinsky on 5-5-1962 against Baltimore threw the first no-hitter.
