FENWAY PARK

FENWAY PARK HISTORY

FENWAY PARK  (capacity 39,195 day / 39,605 night)

Boston, Massachusetts

Park opened April 1912.  Fenway Park is the oldest of all current major league facilities.

It has hosted the All Star Game in 1946, 1961 and 1999 and has played host to nine World Series.  It is one of three remaining classic parks in the major leagues, the others being Yankee Stadium and Wrigley Field.  Recent renovations to modernize the ballpark will help to insure that it will serve major league baseball for many years to come.
