NATIONALS PARK HISTORY

NATIONALS PARK  (capacity 41,000)

Washington, D.C.

Park opened March 2008.  The Nationals will move into their new ballpark after playing the last three seasons at RFK Stadium.  The new ballpark will be located along the Anacostia River, about fifteen blocks from the U.S. Capitol.  The facility will be accessible from the freeway system, Metrobus and Metro’s Navy Yard Station.  The former Montreal Expos drew well at RFK but expect even larger crowds at the new ballpark.
