opened April 1968. Coliseum originally opened in 1966 as the home
of the NFL Oakland Raiders. In 1968 the A’s moved from Kansas City
and four years later started a string of three straight World Series
titles. The Coliseum has hosted eleven American League
Championship Series and six World Series have been played there.
On 5-8-1968 Catfish Hunter pitched a perfect game against Minnesota at
the Coliseum. |
