Original Name -- The Ballpark in Arlington

Arlington, Texas

Park opened April 1994.  Pitching for Texas Kenny Rogers became baseball’s fourteenth perfect game pitcher.  He accomplished this feat in the ballpark’s inaugural season against California on 7-28-1994.  A four-story office building, baseball museum and a children’s learning center are located within the ballpark complex.  There is a covered pavilion porch in right field that has pillars similar to those at Tiger Stadium in Detroit.
