SAFECO FIELD HISTORY
SAFECO FIELD
(capacity 46,116)
Seattle,
Washington
Park
opened July 1999. A nine-acre retractable roof is designed to cover but
not enclose the ballpark, which helps preserve an open-air atmosphere.
There are over forty paintings, prints, photographs and one sculpture of
an over-sized umpire that decorate the Terrace Club and Suite Levels.
Spectacular views of the Puget Sound, downtown Seattle and Mt. Rainier
are in view as fans enjoy the ballgame. The Mariners hosted the 2001
All Star game. |
